Get out of your head and into your life.

I help people with eating disorders and anxiety find more connection, ease, and joy in their bodies without rigid exercise plans, dieting, shame, or guilt.

Despite being kind, funny, and extremely dedicated, life is hard. People I work with struggle as you do.

When they first come in, they hate the way they feel in their body. Judgement and dread wash over them when they get dressed or look in the mirror. They feel disgusting, unworthy, and inadequate.

Overthinking, perfectionism, and thoughts about food and body get in the way of the life they want. They aren’t the kind of friend they want to be. They feel like they’re failing as a partner. And their confidence in their parenting is tanking.

They worry their kids would start picking up on their panic and irritability after skipping breakfast or missing a workout. When their partner or child asks for a sweet snack they feel both proud and sad about how much pleasure they restrict from both themselves and others.

Topped off with guilt and shame, suddenly things feel overwhelming and chaotic.

They wonder if seeming like they have it all together is actually sustainable because the person they understand themselves to be is disappearing, fading, foggy.

Before they came to see me, they feared loosening their tight grip on compulsive exercise and intense focus on “health” would lead to feeling out of control. Despite all that effort, life was feeling unsteady and they longed for some solid ground.

They worried how unloveable and unacceptable they would be if people in their life really knew them, the real them, without all the acting, people-pleasing, and performing.

And they were pretty certain they were never going to be able to walk into that friend’s dinner party or important work meeting with authentic confidence, instead of an inauthentic smiling face masking all the turmoil inside.

Like my clients, you deserve to eat food, move your body, and be social without debilitating anxiety.

A better relationship with food and body is not out of your reach.

If you want to feel relaxed around food, present with the people you love, and have more fun with exercise I’d love to help you get there.

You don’t have to suffer. I can help.

Providing a space to reconnect with yourself.

There are many barriers to creating meaningful change in our lives. It can feel difficult and overwhelming to identify what keeps us stuck. We may find it challenging to acknowledge our own limitations, accept our emotions, and build on our strengths.

My goal is to join you in exploring your values and creating action steps towards a more fulfilling life.
